Quentin Jorda works in oil on canvas, building each work without visible correction and without a preconceived plan. No sketch, no photograph, no structural plan – each canvas is approached intuitively.
His academic background in history at the Sorbonne (BA & MA) complements a self-directed exploration of artistic practices. Field experiences in the Caucasus, observing Chechen Sufi trance ceremonies, inform his interest in human inner searching.
